Worship

"But the time is coming—and is here!—when true worshippers will worship in spirit and truth. The Father looks for those who worship him this way. God is spirit, and it is necessary to worship God in spirit and truth.” -John 4:23-24
Join us for Sunday morning! At Concord we believe that worship is an important part of our relationship with Christ.
Sunday School classes start at 10am and we worship together as a community at 11am. Worship style is traditional and in our sanctuary. We sing hymns, pray together, read scripture, and hear a sermon.

Here is a "sneak peak" on Pastor Billy's sermon series for the next few months in 2019:
  • Bible Stories You Never Heard in VBS (Part 3) (Summer 2019) - We will look at lesser-known stories in scripture, and how God can still teach us important things through these uncommon episodes!
  • 1 & 2 Samuel (August/September 2019) - An examination of several major bible characters during this important time of Israel's history.
  • "I've Heard that a Thousand Times!" (Fall 2019) - Looking at the deeper meaning of "famous" bible memory verses we sometimes gloss over.
We also celebrate communion on the first Sunday of each month. You do not need to be a member of our church or a United Methodist--all are welcome to feast at God's table! If you are interested in finding out more about the United Methodist Church's beliefs about communion, please click here.
